Amazon Video Can Now Stream in 4K UHD on Xbox One S

Microsoft announced that Xbox One S owners can now stream videos from Amazon Video in 4K UHD. The service joins Netflix, Hulu, and VUDU in offering 4K UHD content on Xbox One S.
“With four times the resolution of standard HD, 4K Ultra HD delivers the clearest, most realistic video possible,” Microsoft notes. “Xbox One S is the only console that lets you stream 4K video content and watch Ultra HD Blu-ray movies with High Dynamic Range.”
This is true, though I’d point out that the built-in apps in my Samsung Smart TV can also display Amazon, Netflix, and other content in 4K/UHD and HDR as well.
If you already have the Amazon app on your Xbox One S and an Amazon Prime subscription, you’re all set. If not, Amazon offers a free 30-day trial, so you can enable Amazon Video access along with your other Prime benefits and start binge-watching shows like The Man in the High Castle, Bosch, and more.
