Amazon’s New $24.99 Echo Flex Brings Cordless Alexa to Your Room

Amazon is introducing a neat little Echo device today. The company’s new Echo Flex is a small speaker that will allow you to do cool things with Alexa — using additional accessories.
Amazon says the device has a small speaker that’s more like a cell phone, and it’s not optimized for music. It’s only optimized for Alexa’s voice and includes a USB charging port that will allow you to charge your phone. And more importantly, you can use the port to attach accessories to it.
Amazon is opening up an API that will allow developers to build their own accessories for the Flex, and it’s launching its own motion sensor and smart nightlight accessories that cost $14.99 each and work perfectly with the Echo Flex. Both these accessories work with Amazon’s Ring home security system, so it’s kind of perfect if you are into Ring.
What I am more interested to see here is whether this will come with Bluetooth support so you can connect it to your existing speakers for a better sound-quality, kind of like the Echo Input.
