Android Sync Coming to the New Edge

Microsoft confirmed last night that it is updating the Android version of Edge so that it can sync with the new Edge in Windows 10.
“Microsoft Edge for Android Beta users, we are now starting to roll out favorites syncing with our Chromium-based Microsoft Edge preview,” Microsoft director Vishnu Nath tweeted last night. “iOS support and syncing more than favorites [is] coming soon.”
I haven’t seen this update yet. But based on screenshots that a reader provided to MSPowerUser, you’ll be able to choose between classic Edge (“Microsoft Edge”) and the new Edge (“Microsoft Edge Insider Channels”) in the sync settings on mobile.
As the screen notes, only favorites sync is available today, mimicking the new Edge’s sync capabilities between PCs. But passwords, open tabs, auto-fill form data, and other features will be synced in the future as well.
I will add a new article to my “Living on the (New) Edge” series when I have a chance to test this feature.
