Apple is expected to introduce macOS 10.15, the next major version of macOS, at WWDC on Monday. The company has been rumored to be working on new apps for macOS in the past, and we are getting our first look at two of those apps today.

The folks at 9to5Mac, who gave us the first look at the new iOS dark mode yesterday, are back with some new screenshots. This time, they are giving us our first look at the new Apple Music and Apple TV apps.

For the new Apple Music app, the design is very similar to iTunes. Apple is, however, separating Apple Music from iTunes which makes a lot of sense. The design of the app involves a sidebar with the different sections on Apple Music, your Library, and your playlists. The search bar is also on the sidebar. The design of the app is particularly interesting cause it brings back colorful icons to the sidebars on Mac, which Apple switched from in the past in favour of the monochrome design.

The Apple Music app will also let users sync their devices, so your iPhones and iPads will work much like they already do with iTunes.

And for Apple TV, the design is pretty similar. The different sections like Watch Now, Movies, TV Shows, Kids, and Library are separated on the top of the app within a switcher, and the sidebar lets you filter things down even further. The design isn’t really consistent with the Apple Music app, though, as the Search bar is on the top of the app instead of being on the sidebar.

Either way, we should get a much closer look at the new apps, and the other new features on macOS 10.15 at WWDC next week — so keep an eye out for our live coverage.
