Full Driver Download Sets are Available for the 2018 Surface PCs

While these releases all date back a month or so, Microsoft this week announced the full and updated driver download sets for all of its 2018 Surface releases. Meaning Surface Go, Surface Laptop 2, Surface Pro 6, and Surface Studio 2.
To be clear, most Surface users won’t need to install drivers in this fashion; the driver download sets are designed for IT that needs to rollout Surface PCs to multiple users and may want to make configuration changes, including using Windows 10 Enterprise. But it’s not a bad idea to keep a set of the latest drivers on hand for disaster recovery.
Here’s what’s available.
Surface Go. The initial release of Microsoft’s Surface Go Drivers and Firmware bundle shipped in early October, but it was updated (presumably to support Windows 10 version 1809) in late November. I believe this set applies only to the non-LTE versions of Surface Go, but that’s not clear.
Surface Laptop 2. Microsoft released the initial version of its Surface Laptop 2 Drivers and Firmware pack in early November, and this is still the most recent release.
Surface Pro 6. Microsoft also released the initial version of its Surface Pro 6 Drivers and Firmware pack in early November, but it was updated in late November to a new version.
Surface Studio 2. Microsoft released the initial version of its Surface Studio 2 Drivers and Firmware pack in mid-November and then shipped an updated version a few days later.
