The makers behind Gears of War is announcing the latest iteration to the title at E3 today. The Coalition today announced Gears of War 5’s release date at a stage today, where we got our first look at the new game. Gears of War 5 will include a new Escape mode that’s an aggressive 3-player co-op experience.

Gears of War 5 is also about pushing the envelope for the studio. It will apparently go beyond what you have come to expect from Gears of War in the past and introduce new modes such as Versus as well. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass, for PCs as well as the Xbox One.

The Coalition will reveal more about the new Gears over the coming months, especially at Gamescom. The game will be available on September 10, launching on Xbox Game Pass.
