Google Pixel 4 gets compared to iPhone XR and more in latest leak

Google Pixel 4 vs. Apple iPhone XR vs. Xiaomi Mi 9 vs. Oppo Reno 2
Published on Weibo (via Slashleaks), the photo in question compares the regular Google Pixel 4’s rear panel to that of the iPhone XR, Xiaomi Mi 9, and the recently announced Oppo Reno 2. It highlights the sheer size of the Pixel 4’s rear camera module while also corroborating the presence of three rear sensors and an LED flash.
The latest information suggests the Google Pixel 4 will inherit the Pixel 3’s main 12.2-megapixel f/1.8 camera. But with the help of revamped software and a new image signal processor (ISP) there should be a noticeably improvement when it comes to taking photos and video. Accompanying this will reportedly be a 16-megapixel camera coupled with an unspecified telephoto lens. This will combine optical zoom with Super Res Zoom software to produce high quality images at up to 8x zoom.
Lastly, the setup will include a mysterious third sensor. Certain reports claim it’ll be a 0.3-megapixel Time-of-Flight sensor while others suggest it’ll actually be a ‘Spectral Sensor.’ These can typically capture information that isn’t visible to the naked eye such as x-rays, ultraviolet, infrared, and much more. Additionally, depth data for individual pixels and the ability to better identify materials are often part of the package. This means the sensor could be responsible for the improved Night Sight results that have leaked or perhaps a better portrait mode.
Yet another Google Pixel 4 hands-on video has appeared
The comparison photo shown above also corroborates the Google Pixel 4’s overall size – 147.0 x 68.9 x 8.2 mm – which itself backs up rumors of a 5.6-inch OLED display. This model is yet to appear in a hands-on video (via Slashleaks) but the Pixel 4 XL has just appeared in another one that lists all of the internal specs.
Powering the smartphone will be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 rather than the newer Snapdragon 855 Plus. This is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as standard although versions with 8GB of RAM and more storage may be in the works. As per usual, though, availability will likely vary.
