Here's every Samsung smartwatch and tablet launching later this year

Samsung is perhaps best known for its huge smartphone business which churns out multiple devices each month. But the South Korean brand also operates successful tablet and wearable businesses and, thanks to the folks over at CashKaro, we now have a detailed look at the roadmap for both of these.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5 and two other tablets
Following the launch of the mid-range Galaxy Tab S5e earlier this year, it seems as though Samsung is finally preparing a premium alternative dubbed the Tab S5 that’ll replace last year’s rather successful Galaxy Tab S4.
As you’d expect from a 2019 Samsung tablet, the Galaxy Tab S5 is expected to ship with Android 9 Pie straight out of the box alongside the custom One UI overlay. On a side note, rumor has it the device will ship with an S Pen and DeX support when it launches later this quarter.
Accompanying the Galaxy Tab S5 in the premium segment will be the Galaxy Book 3. Very little is known about this particular offering but it should ship with Windows 10 rather than Android and feature one of Qualcomm’s specially designed chips – either the Snapdragon 850 or Snapdragon 8cx. Also, if previous versions are anything to go by, a detachable keyboard and S Pen will likely be included as standard.
Completing Samsung’s upcoming lineup of tablets will be the Galaxy Tab Active 3. According to CashKaro, the rugged device will target business customers and will include support for Samsung DeX. It’s set to be released in September and will probably be announced at IFA in Berlin towards the beginning of the month.
The Galaxy Watch 2 rather than the Watch Active 2
Almost one year after it announced the Galaxy Watch Samsung appears to be preparing a couple of second-generation models that’ll probably be marketed as the Galaxy Watch 2. Per the information provided, last year’s 46mm option will be replaced by a slightly smaller 44mm device. Similarly, the 42mm model is apparently being ditched in favor of a 40mm alternative.
Recent rumors have indicated that Samsung’s plans for later this year involve the introduction of the Galaxy Watch Active 2. According to today’s report, however, this wearable isn’t planned for release in 2019 with Samsung instead focusing on its regular lineup of watches. Little is known about Samsung’s plans at the moment but reports have pointed towards a wide range of health and fitness-related features that include ECG capabilities and fall detection.
Like last year’s wearables, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 2 models are expected to debut at its Unpacked even in early August. Pre-orders for the smartwatches should commence immediately after the event and should precede a launch a couple of weeks later alongside the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. Speaking of which, these two smartphones are also expected to arrive at Samsung’s Unpacked event on August 7th.
