Microsoft Optimizes Skype for Older Android Devices

Microsoft is today launching an optimized version of Skype’s Android app today for older devices. The company is optimizing Skype’s app for Android devices running 4.0.3 to 5.1.
The optimized version of Skype’s Android app will not only use less storage app, but it’s also supposed to use less RAM. The app is built to work in poor networks, which will be helpful for users in developing countries where most users are still running older Android devices and have a poor network. Microsoft says the optimized version of Skype for Android features improved speed, and better audio and video quality for lower-end Android devices, too.
The company has started rolling out the optimized app for older Android devices today, and it’ll continue to roll out the update over the coming days.
