Microsoft Releases Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17672

Windows Insiders in the Fast ring and Skip Ahead have a new build, 17672, to install today. Unlike with recent builds, however, there isn’t much new in this one.
In fact, there’s only one semi-major change: The Windows Security app has been updated to require antivirus products to run as a protected process to register within the app.
“Products that have not yet implemented this will not appear in the Windows Security UI,” Microsoft’s Dona Sarkar notes, “and Windows Defender Antivirus will remain enabled side-by-side with these products.”
Dona also explains that you can disable this new behavior by creating the following registry key and rebooting:
HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftSecurity CenterFeature DisableAvCheck (DWORD) = 1
This key will be removed as Windows 10 Redstone 5 gets closer to release.
