Microsoft Sends Out Invites for MWC 2019, Will Likely Talk HoloLens 2

Microsoft has just sent out invites for the company’s Mobile World Congress press conference. The company is coming to MWC after a long while, and it could have some big news next month.
The press reception will be hosted by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and he will be joined by Alex Kipman and Microsoft CVP Julia White. And that is, of course, a big give away. Kipman is known for the HoloLens, and it’s been a while since Microsoft spoke about the HoloLens.
MWC seems like the perfect time for building some hype around the future of HoloLens. Microsoft is believed to be working on a new HoloLens for a while, with the device supposedly being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 850. We still don’t have a lot of details about the device, so it’s all kind of up in the air for now.
On Microsoft’s official website for MWC 2019, the company talks about its cloud business, Internet of Things, and AI — all of which will likely be delivered by Julia White, who’s currently dealing with product marketing for Azure and Microsoft’s cloud business.
Microsoft’s press conference will be happening on February 24, and it will likely be live streamed as well. We are going to be attending the event, so make sure to keep an eye out for our coverage.
