Netflix Is Adapting Cuphead Into a New Animated Series

Studio MDHR’s iconic Cuphead game is soon going to be a show. Netflix today announced that it’s turning Cuphead into a new animated Netflix Original series. The new show, titled The Cuphead Show! will be produced by Netflix Animation.
Hollywood Reporter notes that the show will be produced by Netflix and King Features Syndicate. Both the companies are appointing some big names to work on the show, with the game’s original creators serving as the executive producers for Studio MDHR, and C.J. Kettler serving as the executive producer for King Features Syndicate. It will also be executive produced by Emmy award winner Dave Wasson (Mickey Mouse Shorts), with Cosmo Segurson (Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling) serving as the co-executive producer.

Netflix doesn’t have a release date for the new show yet, as it’s in the early stages at this point, according to IGN. “The character-driven comedy follows the unique misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman. Through their many misadventures across their surreal home of the Inkwell Isles, they’ve always got one another’s backs.” said Netflix.
TL;DR: it will be really fun.
