New Microsoft Games Will Hit Xbox Game Pass on Release Day

There are now more reasons to get an Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft’s subscription gaming service for the Xbox One will get all the upcoming Microsoft games on release day.
Microsoft’s head of gaming Phil Spencer announced today that Microsoft Studios’ upcoming releases, Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, and State of Decay 2 will be available to subscribers of Xbox Game Pass on day one of release. The company will also be releasing all of its upcoming unannounced games on release day to Xbox Game Pass subscribers — which means the next Forza, or Halo game will be available on release day for Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no extra cost.
The company is also teaming up with select retail partners, including GameStop, to offer a new 6-month Xbox Game Pass subscription option after Xbox fans requested for more subscription options. The addition of all of Microsoft Studio’s upcoming games will definitely be a huge push for Xbox Game Pass. The service already has more than 100 games on the Xbox One and the addition of big titles like Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3 makes the $9.99 a month subscription service a lot more enticing. The next big move would probably be to bring Xbox Play Anywhere support to Game Pass, so that subscribers can play all the supported games on their PCs, too.
