OnePlus 7 Pro Has a Superior Display

We’re still two weeks away from the handset’s launch, but DisplayMate has given the OnePlus its best-possible display rating.
“DisplayMate’s in-depth lab tests of the OnePlus 7 Pro OLED display have just been completed, earning our highest A+ display rating,” DisplayMate tweeted late last night.
DisplayMate says that its full display rating for the OnePlus 7 Pro will be published on May 14, just before the device launches. But it did provide the following quote with a bit more detail.
“Whether it’s the color accuracy, brightness, contrast accuracy or pixel density, the OnePlus 7 Pro scored exceptionally well across every parameter, providing a markedly better, sharper, and more enjoyable viewing experience to the viewer. Additionally, users can also adjust the display’s color gamut and color temperature to get the most suitable screen calibration for themselves.”
OnePlus notes that the display has also received the ‘Safety for Eyes’ certification from the VDE Testing and Certification Institute. And it has been leaking OnePlus 7 Pro features for weeks, including the fact that it will ship with a three-lens camera system.
OnePlus is famous for delivering and exceeding flagship smartphone specifications at a lower cost than the market leaders. But its entry into the elite world of smartphone displays is new, and it places the OnePlus 7 Pro alongside, if not ahead, of previous A+ winners like the Samsung Galaxy S10, iPhone XS Max, and Google Pixel 3 XL.
