Oukitel K9 has the “world’s largest” smartphone display, a 6000mAh battery, and costs $200 at launch

disclaimer
While the high-end smartphone segment is a world of ever-increasing prices and incremental upgrades, mid-range phones have been killing it lately. Many companies are striving to give customers the biggest bang for their buck possible, and often times the offers seem to good to be true. However, many of them actually are true.
Colossal display with a small waterdrop-style notch
The display has a 19:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1080×2244 pixels, and easily dwarfs any other phone you put next to it. Just check out this video from Oukitel to see how big this phone is when compared to some other popular devices:
Battery that lasts for days and respectable specs
The huge display of the Oukitel K9 is powered by an equally impressive 6000mAh battery that the company promises will last for “2-3 days of heavy use on a single charge.” That’s a rather bold promise, but considering that the phone has a low-power Helio CPU and runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, with its new adaptive power mode, the Oukitel K9 is sure to deliver outstanding battery life.
The K9 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 Octa-core CPU with a clock speed of up to 2.3Ghz (which is considerably more power-efficient than the previous generation), backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Around the back, the Oukitel K9 sports a dual-camera setup that combines a 16MP Sony IMX298 main camera with a second snapper that’s used for depth detection. Above the display, in a tiny waterdrop-style notch, resides an 8MP selfie camera with various scene and filter settings.
Killer price
Oukitel K9’s third stand-out feature is its price tag. The phone’s pre-sale will kick off this week: if you buy one before May 20, you’ll get it for just $199.99! After the initial promotional period, the Oukitel K9 will retail at $249.99, which is still a lot of bang for your buck, considering the size and battery of the phone.
