Samsung Announces Galaxy Watch Active2 With New Digital Rotating Bezel

Samsung is unveiling the new Galaxy Watch Active2 today. Ahead of the launch of the Galaxy Note 10, the company is revealing the new smartwatch that comes with a number of upgrades.
Samsung has upgraded the rotating bezel on the device that’s used for navigation with a new digital version. The bezels of the watch are now touch-sensitive, allowing you to use it as a rotating bezel and navigate around the operating system on the watch. Samsung says the new rotating touch bezel works both clockwise and counter-clockwise.
The new Watch Active2 comes in two different sizes: 40mm and 44mm. Both the different versions come in two styles, a lightweight aluminium with a casual Fluoroelastomer band, and a more premium solid stainless steel version with a leather strap. Samsung will also sell an LTE version of the watch, and the weights of all the different variants will differ based on the band and make.
Samsung has even worked on an ECG feature like the Apple Watch, but that won’t be enabled at launch.
Samsung says the new watch also comes with new “health sensors” that allow it to read data faster. The watch itself can track more than 39 workouts, ranging from running to swimming. It can also allow you to track real0time stress levels and comes with a new guided meditation system like the Apple Watch.
Starting at $279, the new Galaxy Watch Active2 will be available in September.
