Sea of Thieves Gets New Cursed Sails Update

As promised, Microsoft is starting to roll out new free content updates for Sea of Thieves. Starting with Cursed Sails, these new content updates come at no extra cost and allow users to experience new things within the game.
Cursed Sails is Sea of Thieves’ biggest update yet, allowing players to battle new skeleton ships on the seas. There’s also a new three-player Brigantine ship and players can now form alliances with other players when taking on bigger challenges. “This permanent new content will be introduced into the game through a special time-limited campaign, Cursed Sails. Offering players a range of unique rewards, this three-week campaign will see skeleton ships terrorise outposts and challenge pirates to do battle on the seas. A story-driven side quest will also allow players to investigate the source of the skeleton scourge,” said Joe Neate, an executive producer at Rare.
Sea of Thieves’ Cursed Sails is going to be available for Xbox One users on the 31st of July. Once again, it’s a completely free content update for everyone who already owns the game. Here’s the trailer:
