Surface Laptop 3 Will Reportedly Have a 15-inch Variant

Microsoft is holding a big event on the 2nd of October, where the company is expected to introduce a new Surface line. One of the core new products of the new Surface line is expected to be the next-gen Surface Laptop. And although there haven’t been many leaks about the new Surface Laptop 3, there are some interesting new details.
According to the folks at WinFuture, who are usually very accurate, Microsoft is going to launch a new 15-inch variant of the Surface Laptop 3. The new 15-inch variant will likely co-exist with the 13.5-inch variant of the device. According to details found on some European retailers’ database, there are apparently three different models for the 15-inch Surface Laptop 3.
Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 3 is also expected to be powered by AMD chips this year, as we previously reported. WinFuture confirmed that all three models of the 15-inch Surface Laptop 3 are powered by AMD, though it’s not clear exactly which processors are being used in these models. What would be interesting, however, is if Microsoft decided to stick to Intel for the smaller 13.5-inch variant of the device. It’s not exactly clear if Microsoft plans to keep Intel chips on the new Surface Laptop 3, though it’s almost entirely possible Microsoft will sell both AMD and Intel-powered models of the Surface Laptop 3.
