T-Mobile to sell OnePlus 7 Pro for $29.17 a month; device goes on sale May 17th at all locations

T-Mobile announced today that it will be the first place anywhere in the world where consumers can pick up the just announced OnePlus 7 Pro. The phone will be offered at its Times Square Signature Store from 2-10pm EDT today. Tomorrow, events will be held at T-Mobile Signature Stores in Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, San Francisco, and Santa Monica. Starting on May 17th, the eagerly awaited handset will be available at T-Mobile stores and through the carrier’s website.
T-Mobile notes that the OnePlus 7 Pro supports its low frequency 600MHz spectrum, which means that users should expect improved performance inside buildings and offer better coverage in rural areas of the U.S. It also supports features of LTE-Advanced service including 4 x 4 MIMO (which increases the number of connections between a cell site and a phone), carrier aggregation (which puts together several carrier channels to increase capacity), 256QAM and License Assisted Access. All of this should make the OnePlus 7 Pro run fast over the T-Mobile network.
The OnePlus 7 Pro, available in Mirror Grey and Nebula Blue, is priced at $699.99. You also have the option of using the carrier’s Equipment Installment Plan that will allow you to buy the phone for 24 monthly payments of $29.17. The device carries a 6.67-inch notchless fluid AMOLED display with an edge-to-edge screen and a 90Hz refresh rate (compared to the 60Hz found on most phones). It is the first OnePlus phone to carry a QHD+ resolution. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s latest, the Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. The model offered by T-Mobile carries 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage, and is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
