Taco Bell Contest Will Give Away Xbox One X Consoles

Fast food eatery Taco Bell will begin a promotion by which customers can win a free Xbox One X video game console.
Yep. I’m writing about Taco Bell.
“Mark your calendars for August 31, when Xbox and Taco Bell will give fans nationwide the first chance to win the newest member of the Xbox One family, the Xbox One X, when they pick up the new Steak Quesarito $5 box,” Microsoft explains. “Boxes will be available during the promotion from August 31 to October 4 at participating Taco Bell locations while supplies last.”
According to Microsoft, a new winner will be awarded, on average, every 10 minutes during the duration of the program. Those who do win a console will also get a copy of Forza Motorsport 7 and a three-month Xbox Game Pass subscription.
“When it launches starting November 7, Xbox One X will bring gamers an amazing new level of console power and immersion,” Xbox Chief Marketing Officer Mike Nichols says in a prepared statement. “We have a long history of partnerships with Taco Bell, dating back to the first Xbox, and are excited to once again work together to reward gamers with the opportunity to win Xbox One X.”
So apparently Taco Bell is some sort of Xbox tradition now. Sigh.
Also, no word on when paying customers can actually preorder the console. Yet.
