The Nokia 6 is Coming to the US in July

HMD Global announced today that it is bringing the Nokia 6 to the United States in early July. The smartphone will be sold through Amazon.com and will cost just $229.
“It brings us great pleasure to introduce a new generation of U.S. fans to Nokia phones, while offering existing fans the same unparalleled and high quality Nokia phone experience they have come to love over the years,” HMD Global vice president Maurizio Angelone said in a prepared statement. “The Nokia 6 exemplifies our commitment to best-in-class performance, design, and craftsmanship, and we are proud to offer American consumers a smartphone option that will not require them to sacrifice quality for cost.”
While the Nokia 6 is, by any measure, a mid-level handset, it is currently the highest-ended Nokia-branded smartphone available. You may recall that HMD announced its first lineup of Nokia-branded smartphones back in February, and that it is also offering Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 models too.
The Nokia 6 is the most interesting, and it features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a middling Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and Adreno 505 graphics, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD), and a 16 MP rear camera. It retains some of the classic Nokia styling elements, an utilizes an aluminum unibody “with the highest level of visual and structural quality.”
The Nokia 6 will initially be available in Matte Black and Silver, but Tempered Blue and Copper colors will ship “later this summer.”
