The OnePlus 7T Pro isn't coming to the US, tipster claims

The OnePlus 7T Pro isn’t coming to the US market
Per the latest leaks, the OnePlus 7T Pro will replace the original model’s Snapdragon 855 with the marginally faster and newer Snapdragon 855 Plus. Also expected is an 8/256GB base storage configuration rather than 6/128GB and a slightly higher 4,085mAh battery capacity.
Effectively, this means the OnePlus 7T Pro will feature the same 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display, the same triple-camera setup, the same pop-out camera module and selfie sensor, the same Nightscape Mode, and the same in-screen fingerprint scanner.
OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition will be available
Despite the lack of plans for a OnePlus 7T Pro launch in the US, the special edition OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition will indeed be available as a Verizon exclusive. This device should offer a carbon fiber rear panel and 5G support but a detailed spec sheet is yet to leak. Another smartphone reportedly coming to the US is the OnePlus 7T. The original model wasn’t released in the market due to a lack of upgrades over last year’s OnePlus 6T but it seems there’s sufficient demand for the noticeably improved OnePlus 7T.
Like the OnePlus 7T Pro, the standard OnePlus 7T is expected to arrive powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as standard, although a variant with twice the storage is reportedly in the works. Accompanying this will be a large 6.55-inch notched Fluid AMOLED display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ content alongside a 2400 x 1080p resolution. This should be coupled by a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter and a triple-camera setup on the rear that sits within a circular module.
The OnePlus 7T’s main camera will be a 48-megapixel f/1.6 sensor that’s identical to the one found on the OnePlus 7 Pro. Sitting alongside looks set to be a 16-megapixel snapper paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel camera coupled with a 2x telephoto zoom lens.
Lastly, the OnePlus 7T should include a 3,800mAh battery alongside support for Warp Charge 30T and ship with Android 10 and the latest version of Oxygen OS pre-installed.
OnePlus 7T series announcement and US availability
The OnePlus 7T, OnePlus 7T Pro, and OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition are expected to go official at an event on Thursday, October 10. Pre-orders for all smartphones should commence immediately after the introduction and precede an international launch on Tuesday, October 15.
The OnePlus 7T’s US release date isn’t expected to differ from the international one but the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition’s launch may follow a different timeline. After all, it should launch as a Verizon exclusive and therefore could be available at a later or earlier date set by the carrier.
