This new configuration is available only from Microsoft’s online and retail stores and it was first spotted by Neowin. It includes an Intel Core i5 version of the 2017 Surface Pro—which, as a reminder, is fanless and silent—with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of fast SSD storage with an attractive and professional-looking a Platinum Signature Type Cover.

The new $799 cost represents a $360 savings compared to purchasing these items separately, where you would pay $999 for this Surface Pro configuration and $159.99 for the Surface Pro Signature Type Cover in Platinum.

According to Microsoft, the $799 pricing is good through September 15 2018, and while supplies last, and in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico) only. The special pricing does not apply to other configurations, and Surface Pen is not included. (Surface Pen is a $99.99 accessory.)
