Tips and picks
Tip of the week: Enable the new Chrome UI today
Chrome is getting a Material Design Refresh overall in September. But you can enable it now.
App pick of the week: Parallels Toolbox
Updated alongside Parallels Desktop 14 for Mac, this affordable package can solve some real problems.
Enterprise pick of the week: What the heck happened to Office 365 late last week?
Were you among the Office 365 users last week who couldn’t sign-in/authenticate your Office 365 apps? You were not alone (especially if you’re an iOS/Mac user). Your problems *should* be fixed, but MS isn’t talking about what happened.
Also: Be aware, as of September, to get features that come along with Office 365/Office 2019 for Mac, users will need to be running at least macOS Sierra 10.12.
And: Recheck that Ignite session list. Now there are more than 1,100 of them! Lots of stuff on improvements to Windows Update (but not fewer updates, as far as it looks from the list) and more
Codename pick of the week: Project Largo
Xbox All Access – it’s a thing! Coming ‘soon’? Thanks for the Project Largo codename, Walking Cat.
Beer pick of the week: Evil Twin (and Hoof Hearted) collab: That’s What Happens When You Let Dad Outta the House
A sour IPA brewed with pineapple, guanabana, vanilla and milk sugar. And yet another amazing beer name from Evil Twin, the geniuses of craft beer names.
