The latest Windows 10 Insider Preview build is here, and Microsoft is letting Insiders play the game State of Decay for free so they it can test the evolving Windows 10 gaming infrastructure.

“We’re excited to bring technology tailor-made for gaming to Windows,” Microsoft’s Dona Sarkar writes, as if it were 1996 and we were testing WinG again. (Look it up, youngsters.)  “Help us validate these systems work as expected, and play State of Decay for free (limited time only!). Just tell us about any problems you encounter with installing and launching the game.”

Sounds like a fair trade-off. But you need to move quickly: Microsoft says it only has a small number of testing slots available right now. But it will expand the availability over the next few weeks so more people can join in too.

Other than that, build 18334 comes with a few major issues and—thanks to the recent Bug Bash, I assume—a ton of bug fixes.
