Windows 10 Tip: Master Tab Previews in Microsoft Edge

With the Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft Edge improves its support for tab previews, which provide thumbnails of each open web page for quicker navigation.
Note: This tip is derived from the Windows 10 Field Guide, which is now being updated for the Windows 10 Creators Update.
As you may know, Edge provides nice visual previews for tabs so you can quickly find exactly the tab you need. To see the preview for a particular tab, just mouse-over that tab and a thumbnail image of the underlying site will pop-up right under the tab.
You can also display all of the open tabs as previews. To do so, select the “Show tab previews” button—which resembles a caret—found to the right of the “New tab” button.
When you do, a new tab previews area is display, providing a visual representation of each open web page.
To close this view, select the “Hide tab previews” button (the caret).
