You Can Now Send Money Using Google Assistant

Google is bringing the ability to send money using Assistant on Android and iOS. Google Assistant users in the United States will now be able to use the Assistant on their phone to send money to their friends, family members, or other contacts on their phones via Google’s payment platform.
Using Google Pay, users can send money to their contacts from their phones with Assistant just by saying something like “send $5 to Paul”. If you don’t have a Google Pay account, Assistant will prompt you to setup one.
Google Assistant will ask you to verify the payment using your fingerprint or password on the phone, so you don’t have to worry about someone else using Assistant on your phone to send money to themselves. Google says the company will bring the ability to send money using Assistant on its Home smart speakers in the coming months, but it’s not clear how the company will authenticate users when sending payments with voice on the smart speakers as of yet.
