You Can Now Send Video Messages Using Google Duo

One of Google’s communication apps is getting a key feature today: video messages. Google today announced it’s bringing support for video messages to Google Duo on Android and iPhone.
Video messages on Google Duo work just like you’d expect. When you call someone and they aren’t available, you will be able to leave a 30-second long video message which they can view later and call you back. They can choose to save these video messages locally to their device, or just let it delete itself automatically after a day.
Video messages on Google Duo will be welcome for many of its users, but the app continues to fall behind major players like Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger. Ever since Google launched Duo and it’s messaging app Allo, the apps haven’t really taken off in terms of the user base. Most of my friends and family still have 0 idea about what Duo actually is.
