Tips and picks
Tip of the week: Understand what’s happening with Xbox on Windows 10
There are three main app experiences now: Xbox Console Companion, Xbox, and Game Bar. Am wondering about Xbox SmartGlass given the console streaming stuff, but bet that will be part of one of the other apps.
App pick of the week: Xbox (Beta) app for Windows
Surprise, it’s not a Store app. OK, that’s not a surprise.
Also: iCloud is in the Microsoft Store now for some reason – And it uses Files On Demand!
And: Microsoft To-Do is coming to the Mac on June 17
Enterprise pick of the week: Dynamics 365 Wave 2
Microsoft just published its 300-plus plan for the coming set of features for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Wave 2. This is a set of features coming between October and March 2020. Most of them are incremental, but there are a couple worth calling out.
Codename pick of the week: Delphi
Because we haven’t had enough Xbox news this week, the codename of the week is Delphi. Delphi = Xbox Elite v2 controller, says Brad Sams.
Beer pick of the week: Burley Oak Lost
Burley Oak, based in Berlin, Md., is making some excellent beers. I tried their Lost IPA this week in DC and it was quite tasty and easy drinking. Not super bitter. 7.2%. Worth drinking.
