YouTube Music and Premium Finally Land in the UK, Canada, More

YouTube is finally bringing its music streaming service to more countries. Google launched its new music streaming service back in May, and it’ll eventually replace Google Play Music. But for now, the company is first bringing it to new markets — starting with the United Kingdom, Canada, Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, and Sweden.
Starting at £9.99 a month in the UK, YouTube Music gives users access to all the latest releases, live performances, as well as music that you probably won’t find on something like Spotify or Apple Music. Like other streaming services, YouTube Music will recommend music, playlists, and different moods based on your listening habits and time of the day.
YouTube Premium is also launching in these new markets, giving users access to YouTube Originals shows, an ad-free YouTube, and the ability to download videos. Coming in at £11.99 a month, the service will also give you access to YouTube Music, so you are better off getting YouTube Premium instead of just Music.
