YouTube’s Cord-Cutting TV Service Lands on Roku Devices

Google is bringing its digital TV streaming service, YouTube TV, to Roku devices today. Roku announced support for YouTube TV on all of its Roku players and Roku TVs today.
YouTube TV on Roku players and TVs will work exactly like it does on other platforms. You can use features like Cloud DVR to record programs that you can’t catch, and keep track of all the shows by looking at the guide. YouTube TV, for those unfamiliar, only supports 40+ networks — including ABC, FOX, NBC, CBS, and more. You can also get access to other networks like Showtime with an additional charge.
Along with YouTube on Roku, Google told CNET that the company is getting ready to release an app for Apple TV sometime very soon. The service is already available on Android TV, Chromecast, Xbox One, and some smart TVs, but the addition of Roku’s platform and Apple TV will be a major step forward.
